Hey lovely,

I've been wanting to share a little bit about our upcoming collection, not necessarily what's in it just yet, but more about what it means to me and why we created it.

We're coming into that time of year where everything starts to feel a little bit crazy. November and December roll around, Christmas is suddenly around the corner, calendars start filling up, and before you know it, you're trying to squeeze what feels like three months' worth of things into the last few weeks of the year.

And I think as women, we're particularly good at putting everyone else before ourselves.

Whether you're a mum, a partner, a friend, a daughter, or just someone who feels responsible for making sure everyone around you is happy, it's so easy to find yourself saying yes to absolutely everything.

Yes to another catch-up. Yes to another commitment. Yes to doing something for someone else. Not necessarily because you want to, but because you don't want to let anyone down or hurt anyone's feelings.

And then suddenly it's the end of December, you're absolutely exhausted, and you realise you haven't really stopped to think about what you wanted from the last few months of the year.

That's really where the idea for this collection came from.

I wanted to create a little reminder to pause before the chaos begins. To take a couple of hours for yourself. To get outside, put your phone away and just have a moment where nothing is expected of you.

Maybe that means grabbing your girlfriends and going for a walk. Having a proper conversation about life, what's been happening, what's been difficult, what's been good, or even just having a much-needed vent.

Or maybe it's something you need to do on your own. No phone. No notifications. No feeling like you need to be doing something productive. Just a bit of space to clear your head and think about how you actually want to spend the rest of your year.

And that brings me to somewhere really special. A little place called Cougal Cascades.

Hidden away in the back of Currumbin on the Gold Coast, it's somewhere I've been going since I was a little girl. I spent so much time there growing up, and even into my late teens and early adulthood, it became somewhere I'd go whenever I felt like I just needed a break from everything.

One of my favourite things about it is that you completely lose phone reception as you head out there. And I mean completely. There's no checking Instagram, no messages coming through, no scrolling on your phone.

You're just there. And I can't really explain how special that feeling is.

You can hear the water running over the rocks, the little waterfalls in the distance, the birds, and pretty much nothing else. It's cool and quiet, the air feels so fresh, and you're completely surrounded by nature. There's something about being there that makes everything else feel a little less overwhelming. I've always found it incredibly peaceful, and to this day, it's genuinely one of my favourite places in the entire world.

So when we started bringing this collection to life, I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot it. I wanted to take you somewhere that has meant so much to me throughout different stages of my life, and hopefully capture even just a little bit of the feeling I get every time I go there.

And that's really what this collection is about.

It's not about completely changing your life, making some huge decision, or suddenly having everything figured out. It's just about giving yourself a moment to stop. To think about what you want, what you need, and what you actually have the capacity for before the rest of the year gets away from you.

Because sometimes I think we get so caught up in everything we're supposed to be doing that we forget we're allowed to choose how we spend our own time, too. So before we head into the busiest part of the year, I hope this is your little reminder to take a couple of hours for yourself.

Go somewhere beautiful. Catch up with a friend. Have that conversation you've been meaning to have. Or just sit somewhere quiet and do absolutely nothing. You don't have to have it all figured out.

Sometimes you just need a little space to see things differently.

Same girl. Bigger perspective.

Love,
